Klasifikasi Siswa Berdasarkan Bakat dan Minat Ilmu dengan Metode Analisis K-Means Cluster

Abstract


Permasalahan yang sering dihadapi oleh sekolah adalah pencarian siswa yang benar-benar berbakat dan berminat dalam suatu bidang mata pelajaran tertentu untuk dikirimkan dalam kompetisi olimpiade bidang ilmu tertentu, sehingga rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana cara mengelompokkan siswa agar sesuai dengan bakat dan minat dalam bidang mata pelajaran tertentu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengelompokkan siswa berdasarkan minat dan bakat siswa dalam bidang mata pelajaran tertentu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis cluster dengan alat bantu perangkat lunak SPSS versi 29. Hasil dari temuan berdasarkan penelitian didapatkan bahwa ada dua cluster yang terbentuk. Cluster 1 anggotanya termasuk kategori murid dengan ciri-ciri : nilai yang bagus adalah mata pelajaran ekonomi dan geografi dengan jumlah jam membaca ekonomi dan geografi di atas rata-rata. Cluster 2 anggotanya termasuk kategori murid dengan ciri-ciri : nilai yang bagus adalah mata pelajaran fisika, kimia, biologi dan matematika dengan jumlah jam membaca fisika, biologi, kimia dan matematika di atas rata-rata. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian ini adalah cara implikasinya dapat diterapkan di sekolah bahwa nilai yang bagus ternyata sejalan dengan jumlah jam membaca karena banyaknya jumlah jam membaca bisa mewakili minat siswa, sedangkan nilai mewakili bakat siswa
